Meredith
Scheiwe, LSCDAR
assists
a kindergartener at the Grosse Pointe Academy,
in
recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag
of
the United States of America.
LSCDAR
presents every kindergartener in each public, private and parochial
school in the Grosse Pointes with their own US flag and stand.
They may take them home from school and keep them when they have
learned the pledge.

LSCDAR
members meet at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum
on
Belle Isle in Detroit to rededicate
window
to
the citizens of and visitors to Detroit.
|
Organized
in Detroit in 1893, we are the oldest chapter in Michigan of the National
Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Throughout
the years, the chapter has contributed to the quality of life in the
Detroit Metropolitan area and continues to do so today.
We
are a service organization whose members are direct descendants of Revolutionary
soldiers and patriots.
Our
purpose is historic preservation, education, and patriotic endeavor.
